Paris Fashion Week is always a spectacle and Rick Owens' aggressive Spring/Summer 2014 runway show was the icing on the cake.
With diversity being a big topic, Rick Owens' upped the ante and recruited mainly black dance sororities across the United States instead of the usual models and gave us an unforgettable show.
Also showing that us mere mortals can wear high fashion. Featuring sporty monochrome and sneakers from his ADIDAS collaboration, this collection looks even better on non models.
Blogger Susie Bubble commented that it was "The most powerful and provocative statement this season, nay in the last decade" I think I'd have to agree.
Designers should take a leaf out of Owens' book and actually diversify. One black model does not maketh diverse.
