RAW in Pictures

MAAK

Maak showed at Fashfest two weeks ago and tonight she wowed us again with a small showcase of pieces from that collection at Raw Canberra. Backstage she showed me sports luxe pieces and edgy dark pieces that seemed quite different from each other, but very cohesive. The designer, Charne Esterhuizen explained to me backstage, her inspiration for every piece was people. Raw is a lot smaller than Fashfest, but she got the crowd pumped.

 

 

 

FASHION BY PHOEBE

Law school student, Phoebe showcased her first collection in a chic vintage 1950s inspired runway show. With wearable pieces, Phoebe explained she designs clothing for women to just grab from the runway and wear, also sourcing her fabrics locally. The music was the cherry on top of a very cute collection.
